A theatrical mass: a composition for a male body, a five-part female choir and a man with an electric guitar.

Missa Homo Sacer is a theatrical mass, a ritual composition for one solitary male, a quintet women’s choir and the echoes of a man on whining guitar. In between confession and exorcism, a voice aims to describe his sins. In a no man’s land, the seven performers look for connection and unity, salvation and ecstasy; they look for truth. They invite the audience to contemplate on notions of belief and religion, individuality and community, sin and guilt, sexuality and love. For Missa Homo Sacer, singer and performer Timo Tembuyser unites his fascination for language, choir music, spirituality and spatiality.
