A composition, an alchemical formula as well as a game, an artistic experiment in which all manner of musical personalities and groups can participate.
Wim Henderickx (1962-2022), award-winning composer, percussionist, music teacher and resident of Muziektheater Transparant, composed a score in seven chapters. Each one of them is seven minutes long and is intended for a basic line-up of seven core musicians.
HERMESensemble and Nemø ensemble, under the musical direction of Diederik Glorieux, bring this unique composition to life. They get to work with choirs, basketball players, a brass band of students of the Antwerp Conservatory of Music and musical societies from all over the city. Together they bring this composition to life in a musical laboratory. Every performance of Inner Life is different.
Inner Life is a nomadic concert. Traveling through various locations, the audience encounters an ever-changing group of (local) performers.
