Stef Heeren (b. 1976) is the founder and inspirer of the alternative music group Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat with whom he has been on an idiosyncratic national and international tour since 2005. The group released several albums on Kraak, Zeal and Consouling Records and a few years ago Canvasconnection devoted an episode to Stef. He also makes music for theater and dance performances and has already collaborated with Ultima Vez, Seppe Baeyens, Campo, Kabinet K, Kopergietery, Leon vzw, among others...
In 2018, he started the Belgian - Iraqi band Use Knife with Kwinten Mordijck and Saif Al-Qaissy. Use Knife released its debut album in 2022 through VIERNULVIER records, the record label of art centre VIERNULVIER in Gent. Stef studied instrument building at the Conservatory in Gent in mid 00'ies.
