Lia Sara

Lia Vilão (°1994 in Portugal) practiced Latin dances for eight years. She graduated in circus arts and artistic creation at Chapitô and INAC, Portugal (2013/2018), specializing in Lyra and hair suspension. She has collaborated as a performer/creator with companies and directors including Jorge Lix, Bruno Machado, Juliana Moura|Companhia um por 1, Julieta Aurora, among others. Since 2019, she has participated in the inclusive project Envolv-Arte as a circus instructor. In 2022, she premiered EVOCAR at Teatro Campo Alegre as part of Mostra Estufa and completed an African dance internship in Benin with Vincent Harisdo. She has also conducted workshops at the GotaB circus space in Poland. Currently, she is part of the cast for Teatro do Mar. Since 2021, she has been the co-founder, technical director, production assistant, and performer of Companhia Absurda, presenting three creations.
