J BOY’s practice goes through the body and across different mediums such as text, sound, installation, textile, dance. All of these give her the freedom to express the different glitches and perspectives our brains relate to.
While public spaces induce much violence, clothing becomes an object of power and collective emancipation. For (RE)SET she will deal with the body and its ornamentation.
J BOY’s work tends towards love, tolerance and self-acceptance. This is how she approach styling trying to get closer from what the bodies on stage need, raising forms that play; follow; modify the corporality bringing to life new type of silhouettes.
