Annelies Gebruers (b. 1999) is a versatile music tutor, choir conductor and singer who was born in Herentals and lives in Olen. She obtained a Bachelor’s in Music Pedagogy (2017-2020) and a Master’s in Music Education specialising in Music Pedagogy at LUCA School of Arts (2020-2023), where she graduated from the vocal class of Ariadne van den Brande.

During her Music Pedagogy degree, she also took a preparatory musical theatre course at Fontys in Tilburg, and a subsidiary course in choir conducting with Kurt Bikkembergs at LUCA School of Arts. Her passion for choral singing led her to set up her first children’s choir in the village where she grew up.

Annelies Gebruers currently works as a tutor of choir and ensemble singing at Mechelen Conservatory, and teaches music studio and crealab classes at SAMWD Herentals. She continues to develop as a vocalist under the guidance of teachers such as Harry Ruijl, Catherine Vandevelde and Ariadne van den Brande.

In addition, Annelies is a freelance songwriter, singer, backing vocalist and songwriting tutor. In her free time, she writes cabaret music and last year created her first cabaret performance.
